Stoney Ball is an artisan with tile who does truly top-quality work. He remodeled one bathroom in our 100+ year old home and did such an outstanding job we soon sought his services again to install another bathroom in a new addition. We were lucky to book his services (twice!) as he was in high demand in our area. Stoney worked with both natural stone and tile, including handcrafted Motawi tile. The jobs he did for us were high-end custom installations that included placement of field tile, as well as installation of complex arrays of art tile, creating unique and show-stopping installations on the floor and shower niches in the remodeled bathroom and throughout the shower in the new bathroom. He also installed porcelain floor tile in a herringbone pattern. Stoney paid exquisite attention to detail to ensure the perfect placement of each tile. He also did all the foundational prep work for our bathrooms, framing the shower walls and hanging the drywall â ensuring that the surfaces to be tiled were straight and true â and built the shower niches to custom size. Finally, he installed a floor heating system (using Ditra Heat by Schulter) in both bathrooms, which is a luxury we love during our cold Michigan winters. Stoney was professional in every sense; he showed up on time, worked diligently, kept his workspace clean, and his cost estimates were accurate.
